Q: How do I book a tee time?
A: Tee times can be reserved online via our website or by calling the Golf Shop

Q: Do you offer twilight or super twilight rates?
A: Yes, we do. Rates vary seasonally. Please visit our green fee rates page for details

Q: Can I rent golf clubs?
A: Yes, we offer premium rental sets. Let us know when you book your tee time.

Q: Can I walk the course, or is a cart required?
A: Walking is permitted but due to the hills and layout of the course, most golfers prefer a cart. Our golf carts are equipped with GPS. Reserve your tee time

Q: How long is the course, and who designed it?
A: Black Gold is an 18-hole, par-72 course stretching 6,756 yards, designed by Arthur Hills. It features dramatic elevation changes, waterfalls, and panoramic views.

Q: Does the course offer a driving range or practice facilities?
A: Yes. We have a lighted driving range, practice putting green, and chipping areas to help you warm up or fine-tune your game.

Q: Do you offer golf lessons?
A: Yes, private lessons and group clinics are available through our PGA professionals. More information here

Q: What is the dress code at the golf course?
A: Proper golf attire is required. Collared shirts are preferred, denim is not permitted, and soft-spike shoes are required.

Q: What is the Roughnecks Loyalty Program?

Q: What is the cancellation policy for tee times?
A: Pre-paid reservations are non-refundable. However, you may resell or transfer your tee time through our online system.

Q: Is Derrick’s Grille open to the public?
A: Yes. Derrick’s Grille is open to everyone 7- days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No golf required. Please call (714) 961-0061 for the most up-to-date hours.

Q: Where is Derrick’s Grille located?
A: Derrick’s Grille is inside the Black Gold Golf Clubhouse in Yorba Linda, offering scenic views of the course and surrounding hills.

Q: What are your hours of operation?

Q: Do I need a reservation?

Q: How many guests can your event spaces accommodate?
A: Our ballroom and event spaces can host up to 180 – 200 guests, depending on setup and style.

Q: Do you provide catering for weddings and events?
A: Yes. Our culinary team offers customizable menus, from plated dinners to buffets and themed stations.

Q: Are event packages available?
A: Yes. We offer all-inclusive packages for weddings, social events, and corporate gatherings, which include catering, bar service, setup, and more. Contact our director of catering and events

Q: Can I customize the menu?
A: Absolutely. Our chef and event team will help craft a menu that fits your vision and budget.

Q: Do you have a bridal suite or groom’s lounge?
A: Yes, both are available for day-of use as well as locker rooms.
